Bariatric Psychology Services is the name of my practice. Bariatric means the study and treatment of obesity.
I have a keen interest in working with people who would like assistance in shifting eating behaviours and/or other issues keeping them from enjoying their life - with or without bariatric surgery.
I also conduct pre-bariatric surgery psychosocial assessments and brief treatment and offer post-surgery reviews (4 months following surgery ), along with continued support as relevant.
My treatment modalities include Mindfulness CBT; ACT; Schema Informed Therapy; Focusing; Art Therapy; and the provision of relevant psychoeducation and supporting materials.
I offer Skype services for remote clients and have an office in the specialist rooms in the Medical Centre at John Flynn Hospital, TUGUN QLD. I have been in private practice since 2005 and bariatric psychology since 2015. I enjoy learning and continue to develop my knowledge and skills to remain current in my practice.
