I am an Accredited Practicing Dietitian working in private practice. I have extensive clinical trial experience having worked as a research dietitian at the University of Wollongong. I have contributed to a number of scientific papers and publications. I consult with clients individually or as a group. I am competent in the science of nutrition and dietary advice for health conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease and food intolerances.

Weight management a complex problem, and simple weight-loss dieting practices have not been shown to be effective in the long term. Making healthy choices and balancing nutrition is only half of the equation. The other half is eating behavior and how food is used in daily routines. That is why I promote the non-diet and mindful eating approach to weight management. I have found this approach to be uplifting and empowering, and people find, that despite living in this food centric world, they can manage their eating habits better and achieve a healthier relationship with food, starting by thinking differently.

I especially enjoy working with those who have had bariatric surgery but who are still struggling with their connection with food. I help them make the most of their surgery so they can better manage their weight and remain well-nourished and healthy.

The process of change is challenging. It takes practice. But with the right support and with consistent practice, mindful eating will become just a part of the normal way of life.
